11 Plus Mock Exams

Mock 11+  Exams at Tewkesbury Tuition use original papers written by experienced 11 plus tutors.  Our Mock Exam papers replicate real 11Plus papers as used in Gloucestershire Grammar Schools and published by GL Assessment.

Test conditions mimic the “real thing”  where children sit the papers in a classroom. Approximately 20-40 children will sit the test in the same room. Test questions will be in the following categories:

Maths (Both mental arithmetic and problem solving)

Verbal Reasoning

Non Verbal Reasoning

Reading Comprehension

Spelling 

Punctuation

Results from mock exams will be emailed to parents within 3 - 4 working days. You will be sent your child's overall score and breakdown for individual sections, along with the range and mean scores for all of the children who  have taken the same test. As each test runs three times, once at each of our venues, it will be possible to see how your child has performed in the context of up to 120 other Year Five pupils.

Our latest papers have been written during the 2023-2024 academic year and are based on the real exam experience of last year's candidates.

Mock Exam Sessions are two hours long, consisting of two 50 minute papers with a 10 minute break.

Please arrive at the venue ten minutes before the scheduled start time and queue at the door to the main entrance.

There is ample parking at each venue in a free, private car park. Parents are asked to leave the site after their children have registered and to return no sooner than 15 minutes before the scheduled finish time. Please collect your child promptly.

In Summer 2024, our mock 11 plus exams will take place at three venues in the Tewkesbury, Gloucester (Brockworth) and Stroud (Stonehouse) areas of Gloucestershire. Each location is within a 5 minute drive of the M5 motorway, at junctions 9, 11a and 13 respectively

Prior booking is essential and places are limited to 40 children per session.

Detailed instructions will be sent to parents upon booking a place at one or more of our mock exam sessions. Reminders will be sent in the week prior to the exam.
